- Queen Jocasta gives birth to a son named (Oedipus)
- King Laius by and oracle if he has a son his son will ill him and marry his wife. After Oedipus was born they pierced his ankles and hung him on a tree left to die.
- The servant, unable to leave the child like this, gives him to a shepherd, who eventually brings him to the house of King Polybus.....They adopt Oedipus as their own and raise him.
- After many years Oedipus consults an oracle that claims, He will kill his father and marry his mother.
- Oedipus decides to run away so that he will not have to kill his father un knowingly he runs into his birth father and his men and get into a fight about who has the right away his fathers men charge Oedipus and Oedipus ends up killing them ll including his birth father (KIng Laius
- Although Oedipus still does not know he will be marrying his birth mom since he killed his father so he will take spot as king. Oedipus then goes on to have kids with his mom. Years later it is revealed to Oedipus that he killed his father and married his mother, When oedipus finds out his mom commits suicide and he stabs his eyes out and leaves thebes... later on Oedipus"s two sons argue about who will rule the city
