- That's right! Run! I've got your arm and I'm going to hang it up as a trophy. Never dare to come here again, Grendel!

- Grendel succeeded in killing most of Beowulf's accompanying soldiers before Beowulf managed to rip away the monster's arm.In anger that her beloved son had been defeated, Grendel's sneaky mother killed the king's advisor. Beowulf was determined to extract revenge on the monster, but knew he had to seek her out in her underwater cave.
- Beowulf killed Grendel's mother with his beloved blade, and then mercifully ended the life of Grendel who was laying in a pool of blood. The blood, however, melted his precious sword. He emerged victorious but covered in blood with the hilt of his sword and the head of the defeated Grendel held between his teeth. He was honored greatly for his achievements, and finally got to go home richer and more reputable than he had ever been before.
