- Behind you, are the turbines. That heat, produced through nuclear fusion, is then used to make steam that spins these turbines to create electricity.
- That is really interesting to know! But I have a question. Isn't fission based nuclear power harmful to the environment?
- You are correct! But we produce our nuclear energy through nuclear fusion. Fusion reaction produces very less or, if the right atoms are chosen, no radioactive waste. Whereas, fission based nuclear power produces a lot of radioactive waste, that if not disposed of properly, could harm life on earth for thousands of years.
- I agree.
- That's awesome to hear. I am glad that you have taken initiative to make this place as environment friendly as can be!
- Here is the control room. On the screen behind us we monitor the workers and also the statistics. We check and make sure that the systems don't fail, one error could be extremely dangerous!
