- Blanche reveals to Stella that their family plantation, Belle Reve has gone bankrupt.
- Scene 4
- Stanley beleives that Blanche has swindled him out of money with the sale of Belle Reve. Stanley looks through Blanche's belongings for a bill of sale, but finds nothing. Stanley also reveals to Blanche that Stella is pregnant.
- Scene 5
- It's poker night with the boys. Stella and Blanche return from a night on the town. Blanche meets Mitch, and they seem attracted to each other. After Stanley yelling at Blanche once to turn the radio off, she turns it on again to dance with Mitch. Stella yells at Stanley, and he beats her.
- Scene 6
- Stella lies happily in her bed, even after her fight with Stanley. Blanche is horrified and wants her to get out of her relationship with Stanley. Stella isn't in anything she wishes to get out of, and finds Stanley's anger attractive.
- Stanley makes it known to Blanche that he knows about her past in Laurel. Blanche is horrified that he knows of her bad behavior. Blanche comes clean to Stella about her behavior.
- Blanche and Mitch return from their date. She reveals that she will be leaving soon. Blanche teases Mitch, knowing he cant seal french and asks if he would like to sleep with her.
