- Melanie's dad was hestated to let her go to Natural Park. He thought she'd never want to go back home after she saw how beautiful it was. Melanie begged and begged, he finally said yes.
- Falling action
- Her dad and Melaine flew high in the sky, her eyes wided seeing the sun for the first time.
- Resultion
- After landing, Melanie ran towards the flamingos, She suddenly realized they were fake. Her eyes teared with sadness.
- Theme
- Melanie felt crushed, she took off into the woods , running deeper and deeper for no one to find her.
- Finally, her worried dad finds her. Crying, she tells him that she knows flamingos are extinct. He hugs and says I know.
- Melanie's dad tries to cheer her up by letting her know things aren't always what they seem like. Expect the unexpected. I think this passage is character vs fate becuase she believes there are flamingos still left in the world and it turns out there is no more in the world becuase of how badly poulted and toxic the world turned out to be.
