Tekst Storyboardowy

  • 1. Nick sees Gatsby's replaced servants.
  • He's not here, Sir.
  • 2. Gatsby meets Daisy's daughter.
  • Hello!
  • 3. Daisy suggests the gang for a drive in NYC.
  • Let's go for a drive! Please!
  • Nick arrives in the morning, seeing an unfamiliar butler. He learns via a phone call that Gatsby fired and replaced his old servants, since they would gossip about him and Daisy, which says a bit about Gatsby's devotion to the relationship.
  • 4. Daisy tells Tom she never loved him.
  • Gatsby is seen at the Buchanan mansion with Jordan and Daisy, and he meets Daisy's daughter. He is shown to be quite astonished and shocked at this fact, as he is given a glimpse into a part of Daisy's world he has never seen before.
  • 5. The gang arrives at Wilson's gas station and learn of Myrtle's death.
  • In a scene of tension between Gatsby and Tom, Daisy tries to mitigate the situation by suggesting they all go for a drive. In actuality, this is a subtle way of her to get away from Tom and to spend time with Gatsby, which shows her chronic favor of him.
  • 6. Nick sees Tom and Daisy in the window.
  • Arguably the most climactic point in the novel, both Tom and Gatsby are having an argument pertaining to their love for Daisy. Daisy breaks down, and finally admits to Tom that she never loved him, which was one of the things that Gatsby wanted her to do.
  • What!? Yes you do!
  • I never loved you, Tom!
  • They gang drives back from New York, and discover the crime scene in the Valley of Ashes. Tom is distraught the most from this, as he learns his mistress passed away. It leads Nick and the reader to wonder who instigated the murder.
  • Nick goes to check on Daisy, seeing her and Tom, alone and seemingly working out their differences. Nick remarks about the scene, inferring that, for people like Tom and Daisy, there truly is nothing in their core nor character to remark about.
