- King Clovis was a very self-absorbed person. He was also considered very cruel and rude. King Clovis would frequently murder kinsmen. At first he belived in pagan gods but when he started loosing battles, he started to pray to God, and started to win wars.
- KING CHARLEMAGNE'S INTERACTIONS WITH SAXONS
- Charlemagne was a tall man who tried to convert everyone in Western Europe to Christianity. He also tried to conquer all of Western Europe. He ended up conquering most of WE. He had a very brutal way of making people convert, wars and killings.
- Charlemagne’s relationship with Pope Leo III?
- Both King Clovis and Charlemagne, belived in Christianity also known as Roman Catholic. The head of the church was the pope, the kings and the popes very rarely got along. They would worship God and there were many icons in the church.
- Charlemagne Education
- King Charlemagne was sometimes super brutal. Like, he went into war with the Saxons. He wasn't able to get them to convert to Christianity, so he went into war with them, he decided that the Saxons would all be beheaded in one day.
- One the day that King Charlemagne was crowned, Pope Leo lll was the one to crown him. This made Charlemagne mad and annoyed because he felt like the Pope had chosen him to be king. Although, he belived that god had chosen him. From then on Charlemagne and Pope Leo lll would never agree with anything.
- King Charlemagne payed scholars from Europe to teach young boys. This school would teach mathematics, logic, an grammar. They would practice their handwriting. Charlemagne also made sure that he practiced his handwriting, he wrote in a journal under his pillow at the church.
