- This is when king Louis XVI was executed. He was killed to take away the power from him which he abused. For the first time in a thousand years, the French people were not ruled by a monarch. He was unanimously voted to be beheaded. He was killed with a guillotine.

- This was when the region of terror took place. The reign of terror was when the new monarch got into rule. His name was Maximilien Robespierre. He got out of control by executing so many people. He also brought the guillotine into the picture.
