  • Mr. Earnshaw comes home to Wuthering Heights and his children, Catherine and Hindley, with an orphan boy named Heathcliff
  • Over the years Catherine and Heathcliff become very close
  • Hindley Returns from college with his new wife, Frances.
  • Several years later
  • Soon after, Isabella is pregnant and after being mistreated this whole time, she runs away to London
  • As the older, resentful, brother, hindley, goes to college, Mr Earnshaw falls ill and dies
  • Catherine is injured while she is there and returns to Wuthering heights 5 weeks later a whole new person
  • Catherine and Heathcliff go to the neighboring estate to scare the Linton children
  • Heathcliff traps Cathy in a room and forces her to marry Linton.
  • Frances gives birth to Hareton, and dies soon after, Hindley goes off the rails.
  • Heathcliff returns and visits catherine frequently Isabella Linton starts to like Heathcliff
  • Catherine tells her maid, Nelly, that she plans to marry the Linton Boy, Edgar, Heathcliff overhears and runs away
  • Catherine and Edgar marry and move to the neighboring estate, Thrushcross Grange.
  • Heathcliff longs to be with his true love, Catherine, and no longer wants revenge
  • Isabella runs off to Wuthering Heights and elopes with Heathcliff
  • Catherine has a girl and dies soon after. The child’s name is Cathy
  • Years later she dies and her son, Linton, is sent back to Heathcliff
  • As the years go by Cathy and Linton become very close and they make fun of Hareton
  • Linton lets her go to see her ill father before he dies
  • Heatfcliff forces Cathy back to Wuthering Heights to be with Lintonsoon after Linton dies due to Heathcliff not allowing any medical attention
  • Help
  • That year Heathcliff passes away and Cathy and Hareton plan to marry
