England and France fought four wars between 1689 and 1763 to gain control of the eastern half of North America and expand their global empires. They fought in Europe, India, and America, involving a variety of allies___
Treaty of Paris 1763
(1) France delivers to England: Canada and all land east of the Mississippi River, save New Orlands, according to the Peace Treaty. (2) France gives Spain (Her Ally) the French land west of the Mississippi River, as well as the New Orlands. (3) Florida is a gift from Spain to England.
Can they do that?
In 1754, the French and Indian War broke out over England and France's competing claims to the Ohio River Valley. To secure her fur trade—and her claims—France built forts there. Except for the Iroquois, most native tribes supported the French.

Meanwhile, delegates from seven colonies met in Albany, New York, to discuss colonial defense and Benjamin Frankin's Albany Plan, which would unite the colonies under a royally appointed president general and an elected council. The colonies said no, despite his cartoon counsel.(The British did as well.)
