- It's some pretty important stuff, you should check it out. Climate change is impacting the whole world, people are just refusing to see it

- Hey! I like your signs but I'm a little confused on what they mean. Would you mind explaining it to me?
- Of course, I can! My first sign says that we are on Indigenous land because that is one truth that people tend to forget but is incredibly important. Everything that impacts the land impacts Native communities even harder. The planet is warming up causing wildlife populations to decrease, Native communities who rely on foods like salmon are already feeling a difference.
- Wow I had no idea how bad it was already.
- It is bad, and that's just the beginning. Lawmakers have a long history of promising change or changing policy, but the enforcement has never been behind it, and the main contributors are still not held accountable. We are calling on them to stick to their word and work to reduce the harm and burden placed on everyone and more specifically Native communities.
- What can be done now? Can I do anything to help?
- The biggest change has to come from major corporations, the ones producing the most waste and spending money on material goods rather than bettering the planet. But what you can do is show up, asking questions is a great first step.
- Involve yourself where you can and help in a way that makes you feel good too. It doesn't have to be standing out here protesting but find some way to connect and speak out.
- Wow, thank you so much for taking the time to explain that to me. I feel like going home and researching what I can do to make more of an impact. I never thought about how climate change could be impacting others. Thank you!
