Tekst Storyboardowy

  • The Cask of Amontillado by Edgar Allan PoeSoryboard by Riley Cabor
  • I want revenge!
  • Conflict
  • I am going to kill him!
  • Rising Action
  • Follow me to try the Amontillado!
  • Exposition: Montresor is introduced. He then discusses with the readers how he is upset with Fortunato and seeks revenge. Fortunato is introduced as the enemy of Montresor. Fortunato seems to be completely oblivious that he is Montresor's enemy.
  • Climax
  • Ahhh!
  • Fortunato is intoxicated. When Montresor finds this out, he wants to get his revenge on Fortunato that very day. Montresor decides that murder would be the best revenge. He then plans the murder than acts upon it.
  • Falling Action
  • I don't hear anything.
  • Montresor brings Fortunato to his catacombs to taste Amontillado. Since Fortunato is intoxicated, he is not completely aware of his surroundings or what is happening. Fortunato is overjoyed to try the barrel of Amontillado that Montresor bought. Fortunato seems to be a wine taster.
  • Resolution
  • In pace requiescat!
  • Montresor chains Fortunato to the wall of the catacombs. He starts to build a wall around Fortunato. Montresor then ignores the screams of Fortunato for mercy. Fortunato begs and begs.
  • Fortunato stops screaming. Now Montresor only hears the jingling bells of Fortunato's costume. Fortunato is presumed dead. Montresor then finishes sealing the wall around Fortunato.
  • The wall around Fortunato is done and all is silent. Montresor doesn't seem to feel any guilt about his deed. Montresor says, "In pace requiescat!" Which is Montresor telling Fortunato to "Rest in peace." Personally, I feel like if we knew Montresor's motivation, it would make his act more acceptable at the end.
