- Montresor asks Fortunato to help him to see if he payed the right price for some amontillado.

- We must turn back the nitre is affecting your cough!
- *Cough Cough*
- Fortunato agrees to go with Montresor even though he is intoxicated.
- The Montresors' Wine Cellar
- This pains me but it is for the best my friend.
- Montresor brings Fortunato to the catacombs beneath his house that double as a wine cellar. They begin their walk to reach the amontillado.
- The nitre affects Fortunato's cough. Montresor tries to make him turn back but Fortunato refuses and insists they continue through the passage to the amontillado.
- No, no. I'm fine! We should continue on to the amontillado.
- Montresor has tricked Fortunato into his demise. Now he shall get his revenge for the pain Fortunato has caused him. They will never find his body deep in the crypt of the dead.
