- In the myth, Paris and Helen elope when Helen's husband, Menelaus leaves Sparta for a while. In the movie they do not elope and they secretly take Helen back with Hector and Paris.

- During the movie, Hector and Achilles fight, but "Achilles" is actually his cousin in his armor. Hector kills Achilles's cousin by stabling him trough the chest. In the myth, Hector does kill Achilles's cousin but not at the time where it takes place in the movie.

- When the Greek's gave the Troy's the wooden horse as a "gift" in the movies, they were spotted still at Troy and killed. In the myth the Greek's left Troy and waited to attack when the people of Troy fell asleep.
- The Fall of Troy
- Near the end of the movie Bresis is found by Agamemnon. She is quickly able to stab him and killing him. In the myth Agamemnon was slain by Aegisthus when he came home.
- When Troy was falling, Paris decided to separate from Helen so she could escape without getting found/captured. In the myth she was actually captured by Odysseus and returned to Menelaus.
- At the end of the movie when Achilles reunites with Bresis, Paris finds them and lands a shot in Achilles's heel not only injuring him, but also eventually killing him. This was the same in the myth, Paris shoots Achilles in his heel and dies.
