Exposition: Characters: Rodrick Usher, The narrator, and Madeline Usher
What is all the ruckus? What is Rodrick saying to himself?

Conflict:Usher is both physically and mentally ill
Rising Action: Rodrick's sister Madeline is found dead from her paralytic diseaseand Rodrick puts her in a tomb under the house.
Rising Action: Both of them are woken up by a heavy storm, strange noises and the narrator tries to calm a crazy Rodrick with a story before he loses it, but hears the sound he hears throughout the book.
Climax: Rodrick reveals that they've been hearing Madeline trying to escape the tomb, believing they buried her alive. Then Madeline comes through the door covered in blood.
Falling Action: Madeline leans toward Rodrick, but either dies because of her wombs or her disease. The sight of seeing his dead sister that he buried alive causes Rodrick to die of fear.
