- During December of 1941 the U.S. entered the war and became a part of the allied powers. Japan fought with the Axis powers against the allies. After four years the U.S knew they would had to get Japan tosurrender. After President Roosevelt died Truman wanted to finish what was started so Truman made a plan to make Japan get out the war.
- Atomic bomb coming next....
- On August 6th 1945 the U.S. dropped an atomic bomb on Japan in the city of Hiroshima. 3 days later a bomb was dropped on another city Nagasaki. These bombings killed between 129,000- 226,000 people. A few days later they surrendered, it was said out to the world on a broadcast on August 14th. The bombings were shocking and embarrassing to them but it is also said they surrendered because the USSR joined.

- This was one of the reasons for the Cold War.

- Both sides decided to just stop attacking and the whole thing was over. Nobody won or lost and went their separate ways. THE END.
- From 1947- 1989 the Cold War started. The Soviet Union is said to be the blame for it because once the atomic bomb dropped and was powerful they were greedy and they wanted it because it gave the U.S. more power and made them more dangerous.
