Reading Gina's story was heart breaking at times because of the adversities her parents had to go through. However, it was inspiring how much Gina improved from the therapies and her parents' support.
One way we can provide parents with opportunities to share their voice is to be open for feedback. Implement surveys and feedback to gather input from parents on various aspects of the school such as curriculum, extracurricular activities, and school policies.

The second way to help would be to advocate for parent representation on school boards or other decision-making bodies. Parent perspectives should be included when making important decisions.
The third way would be to ensure that schools provide welcoming environments where parents feel comfortable expressing their opinions and concerns. This an extension of the first method.

Lastly, we should recognize and respect the diversity of the parent community by providing additional materials and resources and accommodations for cultural differences.
