- As a young 7th grader, Kate Strickland had a huge responsibility on her back. She was going to have to take a penalty kick to determine the State Championship game.
- Oh no!!
- Kate would train every day to one day achieve her life goal, a State Championship.
- Kate's senior year was fun, but she knew this was the last chance to win a State Championship!
- Go Kate!
- The one thing going through Kate's mind was not to disappoint her parents and teammates. All eyes were on Kate! As she kicked the ball into the keepers' hands, disappointed was all over her parents faces. She was going to make sure that would never happen again!
- Kate made it to the championship game. As the overtime ended with the score tied, Kate knew what was about to take place.
- The mental block of missing her penalty kick went through Kate's mind every time she would train. She practiced, but never kicked a penalty kick until her senior year of highschool.
- As Kate watched her last goal of her high school career go in the net, the stands went wild!
- As Kate and her teammates are sent off to travel to the State Championship playoffs, she sees her parents wave her goodbye. She is determined to make her parents proud!
- Kate learned the lessons of working hard, self-discipline, and determination through this challenge in her life.
- Kate had prepared for this moment. She was ready to make her parents proud and win a State Championship!

- Looking over at her parents, she cried tears of joy. She was so happy that all of her hard work paid off!
- Kate is so grateful for what soccer has done for her life and even when it was hard, she would not trade the experience for anything.
