- The Missouri Compromise was an agreement that stated that Missouri would be a slave state and Maine would be a free state in order to maintain the balance.
- Topeka Constitution
- Fine by me. Me and the Congress agree with you!
- WELL NOT ME! Me and the Senate do not agree with this and are pro slavery.
- The Compromise of 1850 was a series of laws passed to deal with the issues of slavery and territorial expansion.
- Lecompton Constitution
- I can't believe the pro slavery settlers are keeping Kansas as a slave state. We're stuck here!
- Didn't you hear? The free-state majority of the House of Representatives declared us as a free state. WE'RE FREEEE!!!
- The Kansas-Nebraska Act was an Act that developed Western lands in the Louisiana Purchase and organizes territories. It caused lots of controversy between others.

- Ladies and gentleman, I am pleased to announce a majority of our states in the United States have been declared as FREE STATES!! WOOHOO!!
- The Topeka Constitution is the constitution that labeled Kansas as a free state. It was held up in Congress but couldn't pass the proslavery Senate.
- Please Sir, let us be a free state! Kansas needs it!
- The Lecompton Constitution was created by pro slavery settlers and would have made Kansas a slave state. Although, this constitution was blocked by the free-state majority of the House of Representatives.
- The secession created a free state majority in the US. Kansas was finally admitted into the union as a free state in January.
