- There are 5 people here who are applying for two different jobs, one is a teacher and the other is a principal.
- The order here, does make a difference because some of us may be applying for different jobs. When the order matters, we are looking for permutations.
- For permutations, the notation used in your calculator would be nPr.
- For this example, the "n" would be 5 and "r" would be 2.
- After putting that in the calculator using the permutation notation, you will get 20 as your answer.
- This means that there are 20 total different orders you can have.
