- This is the scenes when Mattie is sleeping and is woken up to robbers in the coffeehouse. It was dark so they didn't see her laying on the floor but she stood up because the short person was going next to her to look for silver. She then got angry that the were messing with her grandfathers sward and the guy didn't know she as there and almost killed her she screamed.
- Chapter 20
- This is the scene after grandfather saves Mattie from the robbers. But he was so weak that he could barley could shoot the gun it made him loose his balance the tall man ended up killing him, then running off because Mattie cut his shoulder with grandfathers sward. She talked to him before his death and he just tried to tell her how much he loved her and that he was sorry that he was leaving her.
- Chapter 21
- In this scene Mattie followed the guy pushing the cart to the grave yard so that she could watch grandfather get buried. She tried to just watch them bury him but she couldn't watch him be buried properly . She yelled at them to put him down until a minster came. The guy who pushed the cart agreed and pulled out the bible and handed to her and sked her to read. everyone took their hats off and prayed they all spoke with her. she then gave the book back to the guy and walked away and started to go to the market.
- Chapter 21
- This scene Mattie was walking past a house and saw a broken doll then heard a noise inside the house she pokes her head in and sees a little girl. Mattie asks the little girl if the doll is hers she responds with it is broken. Mattie then asks if her mother or father is around the little girl said mommy is broken too.
- In this scene Mattie is harassed by a drunk guy who the little girl ends up biting the hand because he tried to get her out of Mattie's arms. after the man got bit Mattie had turned into an ally to get away from him. But it was also the ally she say Eliza turn on she didn't see her anymore though.
- Mattie thought she had seen Eliza and didn't stop until she found her. She had walked into a building asking if anyone had seen her and then sent her to a different house she started yelling in the street until she heard her say whos there. Eliza then found It that it was Mattie.
