- On January 21, 1793 the former king of France was beheaded due to being found guilty of treason. The king was punished in front of the townspeople. The towns people mostly contained the citizens from the 3rd estate. The townspeople supported this because they felt they were being treated unfairly. After the king was executed, the French people were left un ruled.

- The time period between September 1793- July 1794 was ofter referred to "The Reign of Terror". During this time the French government were sentencing many groups of citizens to be executed. The main reason people where getting evicted was due to the crime of treason. Thousands of people where dead. Many were arrested.
- The creator of "the Reign of Terror", Maximilian Robespierre On July 27, 1793 was overthrown and arrested. Him and his assistants were guillotined in front of a cheering crowd. But before his execution he tried to kill himself with a bullet in the face but it only resulted to a brown jaw. He also tried to escape. of coerce they got him and him and his allies were publicly killed.
- On November 9- 10, 1799 Napoleon Bonaparte came into France over through their government system and he controlled. After the French people did not have a ruler for so long someone just came out of no where and completely took them over. Napoleon made new laws for them. After a while when he was ruling he called himself the emperor. The people of France were confused but with along with it because he enlightenment ideas for them.
