- The characters are Jeng-mei and her mom. The setting is the living room. The Mother want's jeng-mei to be perfect. She Want's her to be a child prodigy. She thinks that the Shirley temple is a god.
- Climax
- I wish I'd never been born!
- She was crying in the mirror thinking she wasn't good enough for her mom.The mom just want's her to be an obedient. Jeng-mei just want's to be her on person. The mom want's her to be her dream daughter.
- Falling Action
- The mom want's to jeng-mei to be perfect and play piano. She sees a little girl playing piano and she says that she want's jeng-mei to be like her. Jeng-mei just want's to be her and doesn't want to change. The mother just wan'ts her to listen to her.
- Resolution
- She remembered the babies she lost in china. They got into a fight and they never talked about them. Jeng-mei got mad and said Then I wish I'd never been born. She then said I wish I were dead! Like them.
- They had a argument and They parted ways. They didn't talk and felt like it was betrayal. Jeng-mei never found a way to ask her why she had Hoped for something so large that failure was inevitable.
- Jeng-mei mother gave offered to give her a piano for her thirtieth birthday. She played two song just to try it out.She was so focus that she didn't realized they were two halves of the same song. The songs were Pleading Child and Perfectly Contented.
