- I had always wanted to play volleyball since I was young. So I was extremely excited when I heard there was a team for fifth grade.
- Are you excited to coach volleyball this year?
- Yeah! I just hope we can make finals this year
- From then on all I could think about was volleyball.
- Volleyball...
- Volleyball...
- I convinced my best friends to join the team.
- Yeah sure.
- Please do volleyball with me it'll be fun, I promise.
- And I even went to the park after school and on weekends to practice with my dad.
- Before I knew it, I was playing my first game and loved every second of it.
- The season was almost over; we had won all of our games, and the finals were tomorrow. I was nervous and practicing in my backyard, trying to get ready, when I jammed my finger trying to hit the ball.
- OWW!
- I stayed up late the night before the tournament, wondering what to do. Eventually, I decided, even though it hurt. I wanted nothing more than to play in the finals, so I decided not to tell either my parents or my coaches and just act like nothing was wrong.
- What am I gonna do?
- So I pushed through the pain and played.
- OW!!
- And we won!
- YAY!!
