- Antony, Octavius, and Lepidus meet to discuss their next actions in taking Rome for themselves. They already have the people on their side, so now they must eliminate any outlying enemies. They decide who they must kill in order to be successful, including senators and even family members.

- After Lepidus departs, Antony tells Octavius that they should not consider Lepidus as an equal in their conquest: he can help them win in battle, but when dividing Rome they must leave him out.

- the soothsayer is telling caesar to beware of march 15th but caesar isn't superstitious so he ignores the soothsayer
- Beware the ides of March.
- In this scene Cassius talks to Brutus about him becoming leader, instead of Caesar; but Brutus doesn't think he's good enough.
- This scene shows part of Cassius' plan to bring Brutus to his side. The plan is to make Brutus believe that the citizens of Rome want him to be leader, so that he is more likely to take down Caesar.
