- Two days later, James started to head back home. He had to sell his car and most of his belongings in order to afford food, so he traveled back home by taxi. When James could no longer afford the taxi, he traveled back home on foot. It gave him time to think about his choices, and about how upset and disappointed he thought his father would be with him.
- 7 hours later, James arrived at his fathers office building just in time for the start of the work day. He headed upstairs to the seventh floor where the offices were located.
- When James entered the office, he ran into his father.
- I do not understand? Why are you welcoming me back and not yelling at me. I have sinned against you and God. I have made a humongous mistake. I disobeyed you and I do not deserve to be welcomed back so easily, if at all.
- I understand, and I forgive you. The important thing is that you are here and no longer lost! We should celebrate!
- James, my son you have come back! I have been so worried!
- James' dad brought him in front of the company and announced his return. Most of them were happy for him to be back and accepted his apology, but James' older brother Robert was not.
- Robert was not happy about this comment.
- Everyone! James has returned home! If he chooses to accept, he will continue with his same position at the company!
- Robert pulled his father aside so he could talk to him without ruining everyone else's s mood.
- I do not understand dad. Why are you celebrating him. You have never celebrated me and I have never done you any wrong. You are just going to accept him back and forgive what he did?
- I understand.
- I understand how you are feeling Robert. Everything that is mine, is yours and I respect you deeply. But James is home and safe. He knows what he did wrong but him being found is more important. He was gone and now he is back.
- Yes Robert?
