- When I was 18 my best friend died in a car accident. She was my rock and was always there for me. Without her I was nothing, I didn't want to live in a world where she wasn't a part of it. I lost all faith in God and I blamed Him for her death.
- I went into a depressive state during my senior year. I completely let my self go, my grades were dropping and I was failing school.
- Then I found out that I didn't get into college and I was devastated. This is when I knew I had to get my life back together again
- I went to therapy with Dr. Rivera and she recommended a support group.
- This is my support group. This group has really helped me open up more. It is a safe space and we all feel comfortable talking together
- One day after our session, one of the members, Maggie, came up to me and asked...
- Hey do you want to join me at my local church. I have been going there since...you know.... and I was wondering if you would like to come with me
- I am not feeling too religious at the moment, but I will go with you
