- Gentrification in this community can help lower the crime rate and create a safer environment, for you to all live here!
- The next morning Beryl's landlord Arrives at her front door and places an evicted sign on her front door. Beryl opens the front door to see that she has 1 week to get out of the house before she gets evicted! Beryl Couldn’t even speak after this incident. Beryl starts to look at some new apartments to live in. Beryl has to live in a city apartment since they are getting rid of most rural houses in the area.
- I guess I see how gentrification can be beneficial for this community, but I'm still not very happy with the outcome of this situation..
- The next week Beryl moves into her new apartment devastated she had to leave her long loved family home. She started to settle in but was uncomfortable with the move. As Beryl moved in, her neighbours from each side greeted her with some cookies. Beryl started to notice how nice this community was
- Felix and Jacob are higher class citizens who are contemplating moving in to the area due to the newest improvements in livability. The men explain to Ella the positive effect of gentrification in the Brooklyn community.
- After understanding the beneficial aspects of gentrification in her neighborhood, Ella began to recognise that gentrification can have a positive impact on some people, but overall she was afraid, because she knew as a low income worker, that this would affect her negatively.
