- The battle of Gettysburg started with an army of southern soldiers searching for useful materials and shoes for the soldiers.
- Come on guys we got to find materials and shoes for general Lee
- While the confederate soldiers were searching for materials they did not notice union soldiers marching towards Gettysburg. The union soldiers were led by General Mede.
- retreat move, back to Lee
- Brigadier General Pettigrew Union soldiers are marching towards us
- General a union army is entering Gettysburg from the south
- After Pettigrew warned Lee about the union army he came up with a strategy. The confederate army was forced to act offensively towards the union army. Lee planned that his army would have to keep pushing the union army back as far as possible
- The south have won many battles but this one certainly was the most challenging one for them. When both armies were fighting the south had to climb up hills to reach the union army and once they reached them they could barely fight against them. The south had little materials for use against the army. The north had much more soldiers than the south and outnumbered the confederates throughout all three days.
- Lee was getting desperate and was running out of ideas. He made a dangerous and risky plan that could kill a good fraction of his men. Lee and Pickket another confederate general formed the pickett charge which sent 12,500 soldiers sprinting towards the center of the union army.
- I think I have a plan but it is extremely risky.
- Lee what are wee going to do. General Mede has us trapped in a corner. We are losing this battle, we have to win to ensure our own independent country.
- Pickett's charge completely backfired it barley scratched the union army and the confederacy had nothing and so little soldiers that they were forced to retreat which made the North the victors of this battle.
- RETREAT!
- The union won the battle of Gettysburg and after Gettysburg they kept winning all of the large battles and made the confederacy surrender in 1865
