- Today i will be showing you how nitrogen is obtained from the food I eat.
- Firstly,Nitrogen takes up 78% of the atmosphere.
- NITROGEN FIXATION
- Nitrogen fixation is the first step. atmospheric nitrogen can't be directly obtained by plants. So, by the process of nitrogen fixation-the process by which atmospheric nitrogen gets converted into nitrogen compounds, plants obtain nitrogen through their roots.

- NITRIFICATION
- Nitrification happens next. it is when the bacteria in the soil turns ammonia into nitrates. it is done by the nitrifying bacteria.

- ASSIMILATION
- It is the process by which the nitrogen present inside the plant becomes a part of the animal body when an animal consumes the plant.
- AMMONIFICATION
- When a plant or animal dies, that when Ammonification takes place. Decomposers like fung or bacteria turn the nitrogen back into ammonia so it can be in the nitrogen cycle again.

- The last process would be Denitrification. this is when extra nitrogen in the soil gets back into the atmosphere.
