- Greetings everyone. Today we’re here to celebrate the union of the Sodium and Chlorine family. The Sodium family is known to possess one more than the required number of electrons to be a stable and happy atom. The Chlorine family is known to possess one less than the required number of electrons to be a stable and happy atom. So, they have decided to unite and complete themselves. First the eldest members of the family will tie orbits and declare their unison, followed by the younger members. Now I invite Mr. Sodium Ɪ and Mrs. Chlorine Ɪ to come up here and unite to become one ionic bond.
