- Uhm Mister. What is Gravity?
- Gravity is a force that attracts all objects to its center. Everything on Earth is feeling the effects of it, from a glass of water spilling on the floor to the aching feet of standing commuters to divers leaping off a cliff into the ocean.
- Well then young lady. All bodies on Earth have a weight, or downward force of gravity, proportional to their mass, which is exerted by the Earth's mass.
- Yes, That is because of the gravity.
- This establishes that an object's center of mass has the ability to pull anything in its vicinity. Sir Isaac Newton proposed the Law of Universal Gravitation, which is known as the Law of Universal Gravitation.
