- Get the Learn to drive book from Driver Licensing centre
- Download the ICBC Learn to Drive Smart App
- Study the book 20 minutes per day to make sure I understand the content
- Do practice quizzes daily to make sure I feel comfortable with the concepts. Then, I need to book my knowledge test online.
- Once I get my L, practice with my mom or dad. I will log these hours to track my progress.
- Enroll in Young Drivers so that I can get my N within 6 months instead of waiting for 1 year. The course is $1549. The program takes 7 months to complete. I will receive 2 high school credits!
- Take note of road signs and rules when driving with my parents. I will ask them specific questions to ensure I understand the rules of the road and the purpose of road signs.
- Start attending classroom sessions at Langley location. I need to attend 16 hours of class.
- After the classroom sessions, I will attend 12 hours of private in-car sessions to practice for the road test.
- Book Warm up lessons with my driving instructor
- Book my Road Test
- Take the Road test and officially get my N!
