  • DEPRESSION??! Like when you're really sad?
  • Expansion is the first step in the business cycle. In this phase, GDP grows for two or more consecutive quarters. This is more than likely always accompanied by high employment rates, healthy sales, and a steady wage growth. Consumers are buying and demanding, we are supplying and preforming services.
  • Here, we see recession The slowing down of a business is referred to as a recession (6 months). During this stage, the bakery experiences a decrease in demand and begins to lose money. To keep solvent, the corporation starts laying off employees and cutting costs. When that doesn't work, the company enters a trough; a low moment of transition.

  • A company's ability to bounce back after all of its difficulties is referred to as recovery. Unemployment rates steadily fall as the economy recovers, resulting in a rise in customer/consumer confidence. This company is able to resume normal operations.
