  • Paul sent two disciples, Timothy and Erastus to Macedonia, while he stayed back in Asia.
  • Acts of the Apostles Chapter 19: 21-40 + 20: 1-3
  • Go to Macedonia and preach God's word to those people.
  • Demetrius, who made shrines of the goddess, Artemis, for a living, was angered by Paul and spoke to a crowd about how he felt
  • Meanwhile in Ephesus...
  • Paul is making us blacksmiths poor! He tells everyone that gods made by hands are not real gods.
  • Paul is discrediting our work and our god!
  • The riot started by Demetrius seized Paul's traveling companions, Gaius and Aristarchus.
  • Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!
  • Seize Paul's companions!
  • Alexander was prompted to speak, but the crowd would not listen to him after discovering that he was a Jew.
  • This man is a Jew! do not listen to him!
  • I am Alexander, a Jew, and I assure you that we mean you no harm.

  • The town clerk then came forward and convinced the riot that the Jews did not have poor intentions. He then dismissed the crowd.
  • Silence! These men have no intention of discrediting your god! If you have any complaints about their actions, settle it legally, otherwise return home!
  • Saul informed his disciples that he would be leaving for Macedonia. During his trip, he preached everywhere he went, and escaped plots against him in Greece before returning through Macedonia.
  • Now that the riot has ended, I will begin my trap to Macedonia
