- Gated Communities
- How safe is this community?
- This is a gated community so you are guaranteed to have 24 hour security and supervision of who enters and leaves the gates.
- Tenement
- My lock has been broken and I don't even feel safe anymore and he won't agree to come fix it.
- My sink pipe is broken again and my landlord won't help fix the sanitation issues.
- Greenbelt
- Yes, the path is nice, quiet, and big. Plus you get to see the city from afar.
- Is this a good path to run?
- A gated community is a residential area with roads that are surrounded by a gated wall to control the movement of people in and out of the area. Gated communities give their residents a sense of safety due to the continuous supervision whether it's security driving around or security cameras.
- CBD (Central Business District)
- Isn't it crazy how all these buildings surrounding us are all businesses?
- Very crazy, but Kathy said she might be opening her law firm in our district so she'll most likely be located in one of these buildings.
- A tenement is an urban dwelling occupied by impoverished families. Unfortunately, tenements are an apartment house either stuck together or built very close together where the structure barely meets or even fails to meet the minimum standards of safety, comfort, and sanitation.
- Basic Sectors
- I think we should start producing more crops.
- A greenbelt is a ring of land maintained as agriculture, parks, or any other type of open space to limit the sprawl of an urban area. A park is a great example of a greenbelt as it is a big area of land where many people can explore, run, walk their dogs, and also have a view of either nature or the city.
- Gentrification
- The city is gonna fix up the area, so everyone has to close for now.
- Shutting Down
- Why is everythig closing?
- A CBD (Central Business District) is an area or zone where a large amount of businesses are located, most likely located in the center of a city. Businesses such as law firms, news district buildings, and magazine article corporate buildings could be located in a Central Business District.
- A basic sector is any industry that brings in money from outside the area. A basic sector holds three parts, Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary. Just like this image above agriculture is the primary sector, which is where the production of raw materials such as farming is held in.
- We should! I'll look into what crops we should add.
- Gentrification is the process of converting an urban area from a predominantly low-income renter-occupied area to a predominantly middle-class owner-occupied area. Many gentrification areas have grown in poverty over the many years and are just now being renovated and fixed so it's easier for people to live in the area.
