- Artisans were highly skilled laborers the artisans didn't get that much respect artisans specialized many crafts they did the most skilled artisans were the stone carvers because the stone was the hardest thing to carve .
- the peasants were seen as unskilled laborers they all had to work for the Nile river when it was the flooding season they were the people that grew their food and crops and their houses were made of mud and bricks mixed together.
