Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu, also known as Mother Teresa, was born on August 26th, 1910 in Skopje, North Macdedonia.
She was the 3rd child of Dranafile Bojaxhiu and Nikollë Bojaxhiu. She had a happy life but when she was 9 years old, her dad died and her mother was taking care of all the family by herself. That made a big impact on them.
She studied in a public and catholic school and for the first time showed religious interests. When she was 12 years old she felt there was something inside her tolding her to help peolpe in need.
In 1928, Mother Teresa had chosen to begin her religious life in Ireland. From now on, she dedicated her life to respond the needs from the poor and the church.
She visited families, washed the sores of some children, cared for sick people, made many people happy.
On October 7th,1950, she created the congregation of the Missionaries of Charity and in 1979 she won the Nobel Peace Prize for what she did to help the poor.
