- Scene 1: Conflict Begins
- You always looks so cool. You resemble the advertisement of the man.
- I'm all run down. I want to get away. My wife and I want to go West.
- Scene 2: Tom and Wilson's Chat
- What's the matter?
- Scene 3: The Truth Comes Out
- You're crazy!
- I did love him once-but I loved you too.
- You never loved him.
- Scene one depicts Daisy flattering Gatsby in front of everyone at dinner. Tom is absolutely astounded, so he tries to change the conversation to going to the city. They decide to go in separate cars: Gatsby takes Daisy, leaving Tom with Nick and Jordan.
- Scene 4: The Dead Body
- Oh, my Ga-od! Oh, my Ga-od! Oh, Ga-od! Oh, my Ga-od!
- Gatsby's car runs out of gas, so Tom is forced to get it refilled at George Wilson's house. Wilson reveals he is all run down and wants to move out West with his wife. George then offers him a car once again because Wilson is still straggling for money. Soon enough Tom, Nick, and Jordan are making their way downtown.
- Scene 5: Myrtle's Death
- Earlier...
- After some time, the crew meets back up and makes their way to a suite. Here Tom continues to nag Gatsby about who he really is and what he his big idea was. Gatsby then reveals that Daisy never loved Tom and tries to force her to say it. Daisy, however, cannot admit it. Gatsby and Daisy then rush out of there.
- Scene 6: Checking on Daisy
- It's all quiet. You'd better come home and get some sleep.
- I want to wait here till Daisy goes to bed. Goodnight, old sport
- Later that day, Tom, Nick, and Jordan their way home in Tom's car. When they pass Wilson's house, they came face to face with a terrifying discovery: Myrtle had been killed! She seemed to have been ripped open by a car. Tom tries to calm Wilson down and investigates the situation; he figures it was Gatsby, and calls him a coward.
- When Nick gets back to Tom's house he finds Gatsby who describes the events that happened. He tells Nick that Daisy was driving home to calm herself when she sees a lady in the road. But instead of slowing down or swerving, Daisy rides right over Myrtle; furthermore, Gatsby speeds away from the crime scene.
- I tried to make her stop, but she couldn't, so I pulled on the emergency brake. Then she fell over into my lap and I drove on.
- As noon settled over the horizon, Gatsby tells Nick he will watch Daisy to make sure things will be ok. Nick goes up to the window and sees that Tom and Daisy are sitting there in silence, not happy nor sad. He leaves Gatsby alone and finally goes home for the night.
