- Now that you mention it, me too! I actually did overhear the farmers saying something about how our farts are deadly to the earth. Did you know that there are people trying to control how many of our kind can be on one farm at a time?
- No, I didn't know that! The steaks are high... we must help them understand! Honestly, I burp more than I fart. But why are MY bodily functions THEIR concern?! Silent but deadly isn't literal!
- Actually Larry, there's a partial truth in this idea. Moreso, it's our burps that actually are kinda harmful! At first the humans thought it was only our farts, but apparently both ends produce this thing called methane gas. And that gas hurts the earth's atmosphere, causing pollution! Which in turn makes the earth's climate unsteady.
- Oh, I get it! So the farmers are putting stuff in our food to help us not be as gassy? I'll be udderly disappointed if we lose our friends because of the farmers, but I don't want it to get hotter or colder either!
- Ugh! I hope they are able to figure this out. I guess I'll have to eat the food. Speaking of, I'm hungry! Thanks for telling me all of this! We just gotta keep mooing what we moo! Remind me to blame the pink ones next time....
- That's exactly right! The stuff they put in are called supplements. Since our gas accounts for over 5% of the world's gas emissions, they are trying to improve that. Unfortunately, some places in the world are cutting down on how many of us there are.
