- Carmen Phillips and her family are heading out on an exotic vacation, but that requires waking up quite early.
- We have to start towards the airport in less than an hour. You’d better hurry up. I mean it.
- Adysen, her sister, simply made eye contact with her, and they nodded to each other, and without saying a word, walked to the kitchen and began eating breakfast at the kitchen island. A plateful of eggs, bacon, and toast really hit the spot at six in the morning.
- That bacon smells A-MA-ZING
- The silence echoed through the house as the whole Phillips family prepared for a trip to Bora Bora. The twenty hour trip from Philadelphia to Bora Bora would be mentally exhausting, but well worth the beautiful landscape awaiting them.
- “Time to get in the car! Let’s head out!”
- Marcella, Carmen’s mother, yelled as she finished loading the last of their luggage into their Chevy SUV. Adysen, Preston, Carmen, and Pip the kitten piled into the back seats of the SUV. Their parents, Edward and Marcella rode in the front, driving to the airport.
- This was a nostalgia trip, one last family vacation before Preston got married. Sarah, Preston’s fiancee, was a slight bit sad she would be missing out on Bora Bora, but she knew Marcella needed this trip for her sanity during all the wedding planning, and it gave her a slight break from the whole family wanting to help. The wedding planning had been going quite smoothly, but you could tell a break was necessary.
- We need a break!!
- Adysen, the youngest, shrieked as they pulled into the airport parking lot. She had never been on a plane before and could not be more excited. The Phillips family quickly unloaded their luggage and headed through security and toward their terminal.
