- Interests: Given the job as the receiver of memory after believing he didn't fit in or have a place compared to his friends.
- Beliefs: Soon after being appointed the receiver Jonas begins to see the faults in his community believing everyone should be able to feel what he and the giver are able to feel.
- JONAS
- Relations: Mother, Father, Lily (sister), The giver (teacher), Fionna (friend), Asher (friend), and Gabe (next receiver of memory)
- Interests: Takes his time to teach and mentor Jonas properly after his last time as the giver came up as a fail.
- Traits: Patient, calm, wise and a good mentor.
- Relations: Rosemary (daughter), Jonas (student), Chief elder (boss).
- THE GIVER
- Beliefs: Believes like Jonas that everyone should be able to feel, and remember. to be able to see what they can see.
- Traits: Good friend, funny, loyal
- Interests: Jonas describes Asher as a comedian or class clown, during the ceremony he is appointed a drone piolet.
- Beliefs: After Jonas disappears, the Chief elder asks Asher to search for him and leave him, instead of this Asher dumps Jonas and Gabe into the water to make the Chief elder believe Jonas has been dealt with. He is also shown to be worried for Jonas countless times throughout the film.
