  • Valid point, Trading was indispensable and crucial for any country and kingdom as it provided them with resources to build, materials to expand and tools to facilitate work. Trading was always a top priority, kingdoms would put aside their differences and still allow trade since they themselves could not obtain those goods or in some cases was just more simple to buy them
  • Agreed, but we must not overlook the other benifits the came with global trade such as economic growth, countries knew that trade was very important for their country to grow. For example, the Silk Road connected Europe with Asia, allowing for the trade of valuable commodities such as silk, spices, and precious metals. This trade not only generated wealth for merchants but also stimulated economic development in various cities along the route.
  • You made some very good points John. Trading was dangerous and did also cause negative impacts such as an increase in slavery and much conflict for control. Trading was essential but also did come with long term negative effects.
  • Sure thing! Anytime.
  • Thank you sally, you made great points as well. Trade provided crucial products to different countries and led to the exchange of beliefs. There were many ways to trade, not just on land but also through the sea. Global trade did really come with many benefits!
