- THE STORY OF PIÑA
- Pina was a lazy, spoiled kid who liked to play all day. Whenever her mother asked for help, she always find an excuse by saying she couldn't find the object needed of her mother.
- I can't find the broom.
- Pina can you sweep the house? I'm so tired today, can you do it please?
- What do you want Mama? You really expect to cook for you? That's too hard!
- One day, her mother became very ill. She called out Pina but she ignored her and continued playing in the backyard. But Pina's mother mustered all her strength just to call her. And then Pina stopped playing and went inside the house.
- Pina, come here, I am very sick. Can you cook some porridge for me? I'm so weak I can't get up!
- Pina protested pouting and stomped her feet. Her mother told her the recipe to cook porridge and she told her whatever she would need was there in kitchen. Pina left and went to kitchen. But Pina didn't cook the porridge because she didn't find the laddle .
- The mother shouted her. And then remain silence. Pina walk away. The mother hoping that Pina would come back.
- I wish you would grow a thousand eyes all over your head. Then you can find what you're looking for!
- Months passed and still, there was no sign of her. The mother felt bad for her angry outburst. One day, while sweeping the backyard, where Pina used to play, she noticed a very strange plant growing . By this time, she saw this very strange yellow fruit . It resembled a child's head with a thousand eyes. She remembered the spiteful words she said that day. To honor the memory of her daughter, she name the fruit "Pina" and suddenly the name evolved to " Pineapple". That's how the Pineapple came.
