- This windmill is nonsense and I advise no one to vote for it !
- "Snowball, who, as we know, is no better than a criminal. One false step, and our enemies will be upon us. Sure comrades, you don not want Jones back?"
- From now on there will be no Sunday morning meetings. It is unnecessary and a waste of time.
- "If Comrade Napoleon says it, it must be right"
- Napoleon was slowly gaining control over the animals though he had a half and half government representation with Snowball, which was represented when they would debate at Sunday meetings. Napoleon opposes Snowball’s schemes to improve the farm.
- When Snowball started making progress on the farm, Napoleon got power-hungry. He sent the 9 enormous puppies, which he grew to attack on his behalf, to chase and banish Snowball from the farm.
- After Snowball's expulsion, Napoleon made a speech. The animals were in dismayed by this announcement. Afterwards, Squealer was sent around the farm to explain this new arrangement.
