- HIV{human immunodeficiency virus} is a kind of virus which attacks the immune system of a human body. It can as well lead to AIDS{ACQUIRED IMMUNODEFICIENCY SYNDROME} if it is not treated. It can spread through sexual contact or blood or from mother to child through breast-feeding. It is important to know the basics about HIV in order to prevent transmission and to be healthy.

- There are also ways of preventing HIV. Firstly use condoms during sexual intercourse and also limit your sexual partners. Also get tested and treated for STD's.Talk to your health care provider about pre-exposure prophylaxis. In addition use treatment as prevention and lastly If your pregnant get medical care immediately.
- There is no cure for HIV/AIDS . Once you are infected, your body cant get rid of it. But there is an antiretroviral therapy which is a combination of daily medication in order to stop the virus from growing and progressing to AIDs. So to be on the safe side precautions should be taken.
