- Hamartia:Katniss's tragic flaw is, her compulsion to put people she cares about ahead of herself which can be see throughout the series. For example when she takes prim's place in the games.
- Hubris:Between Katniss's father being killed in the mine explosion and her mother stopping care for her sister she had to learn to put others before her which can be good or bad.
- peripeteia:Katniss's change first happened when she volunteered which flipped her whole life upside down and changed even more when she went from trying to appease the capital to hating the capital.
- Anagnorisis:her realization was when she finds out that the capital is trying to keep peeta alive and that they don't care about any other part of the games.
- Nemesis:Katniss's unavoidable consequence was that in taking her sisters place she had to live though the games to protect her family but she has been though so much that she is traumatized and broken but she is still determined to fight against the capital.
- Catharsis:The main point that she shows fear and pity are when she finds rue and helps to end with her dead and the pity she feels for Cato which leads to her putting him out of his misery.
