Storyboard Tekst

  • Haste me to know’t, that I with wings as swift as meditation or the thoughts of love may sweep to my revenge.
  • Murder most foul, as in the best it is, but this most foul, strange and unnatural.
  • My lord, as I was sewing in my closet, Lord Hamlet, with his doublet all unbrac’d,No hat upon his head, his stockings foul’d, ungarter’d and down-gyved to his ankle, pale as his shirt, his knees knocking each other, and with a look so piteous in purport as if he had been loosed out of hell to speak of horrors, he comes before me.
  • Mad for thy love?
  • Your noble son is mad.Mad call I it, for to define true madness, what is’t but to be nothing else but mad? But let that go.
  • We will try it.
  • The ghost reveals that Claudius murdered him by poisoning him in the ear. The ghost calls Hamlet to avenge his death. Hamlet reveals what the ghost says to Marcellus and Horatio.
  • And I, of ladies most deject and wretched, that suck’d the honey of his music vows,Now see that noble and most sovereign reason like sweet bells jangled out of tune and harsh, that unmatch’d form and feature of blown youthblasted with ecstasy. O woe is me T’have seen what I have seen, see what I see.
  • Get thee to a nunnery. Why, wouldst thou be a breeder of sinners?
  • Ophelia explains to her father how Hamlet has recently been acting mad. She's done as her father instructed and from what she says, Polonius believes Hamlet has turned mad from love sickness for Ophelia. Polonius goes with Ophelia to report Hamlet's behavior to the King and Queen.
  • Give me some light. Away.
  • And what’s in prayer but this twofold force,to be forestalled ere we come to fall or pardon’d being down? Then I’ll look up. My fault is past—but O, what form of prayercan serve my turn? ‘Forgive me my foul murder?’
  • To prove his theories about Hamlet's madness and love sickness for Ophelia, Polonius reads Claudius and Gertrude a letter from Hamlet to Ophelia. The three create a plan to further prove this theory.
  • Now might I do it pat, now ’a is a-praying.And now I’ll do’t.
  • As a part of their plan, Polonius, Claudius and Gerytrtude tell Ophelia to walk around holding a book while they hide nearby and observe the conversation between her and Hamlet. Hamlet appears and when Ophelia tries giving him a gift he rejects it. The encounter ends with feelings of betrayal on behalf of both parties.
  • Hamlet arranges for the players to perform “The Murder of Gonzago” with a few incorperated lines from Hamlet. This is a mousetrap plan set out to see if the ghost was telling the truth and Claudius is truly guilty. As the play unfolds, Hamlet’s additions make a strong yet questionable performance. After the scene reenacting King Hamlet's death, it becomes too much for Claudoius so he leaves frustrated.
  • Once he’s alone, Claudius talks about forgiveness and prays. Hamlet finds Claudius attempting to pray. Ready to kill Claudius, Hamlet reconsiders because he realizes that if he kills Claudius while he’s praying, Claudius will gfoi to heaven. Hamlet leaves and goes to see his mother
