- Eris Goddess of Discord was full of envy when she had found out she hadn't been invited to Pelus and Thetis's wedding .

- Even though she hadn't been invited she came anyway and brought an apple fit for the fairest of them all.

- The fight for the title had begun with Hera , Athene and Aphrodite. It had come to the point that they had to ask the Gods for help but even the Gods couldn't decide.

- Instead the goddesses chose Paris and insisted that he should decide.
- Each goddesses bribed Paris and he chose Aphrodite who offered him the most beautiful wife
- Soon after he heard about Helen of Sparta's great beauty and travelled to see her. Paris and Helen both fall in love and runaway together.
