- Welcome to the Indus Valley! The indus valley is located in modern day pakistan. The civilization lasted about 800 years, from about 2700 B.C.E to 1900, B.C.E.

- In the Indus Valley the homes were made from mud bricks, had flat roofs, and were two stories high. Scientist believed that the poorer people lived in smaller homes and the wealthier people lived in larger homes. people also enjoy being on the on the roof because it is cooler up there and it's a place to visit with friends/family

- We have a very advanced sewer system, it's designed to remove waste water from houses. Clay pipes connect building and homes to the main sewer system. The dirty water and waste flows in channels along the streets, which empties in the Indus river.
- The great bath is made from waterproof bricks. It's 39 feet long and 8 feet deep. It's used for religious rituals. People also enjoy being in the the bath on a hot day to cool down in the water.
- Seals are carved with photographs, an ancient form of drawing that uses pictures to stand for objects, sounds, or ideas. They are used as charms to keep away evil, or are pressed into wax and used as a tag that people place on goods to indicate who owns them.
